Home Builders Association of Metro Denver Appoints Jeff Willis as 2007 President

December 7, 2006 - Denver, CO - The Home Builders Association of Metro Denver (HBA) officially appointed Jeff Willis as President during the organization’s annual Installation and Recognition Dinner held at the Sewell Ballroom on December 6, 2006. Willis is a third generation real estate developer and home builder with 15 years of experience in home building, land acquisition and commercial development. He is currently a principal of Talavera Properties - a Denver-based real estate development company - and executive vice president of Berkeley Homes, a privately-held, mid-sized home builder in the metro Denver market.

“Jeff’s background and knowledge in the real estate field will be invaluable in leading the HBA and it’s members during the ever-changing home building market,” said HBA Executive Vice President Roger Reinhardt.

“The HBA is the valued leader within the industry. I am greatly honored to be appointed President of the Board and look forward to working with the HBA board, staff and members to ensure we continue to expand our role and influence in the marketplace,” said Willis.

Prior to forming Talavera and joining Berkeley, Willis was vice president of Land Acquisition and Sales for Shea Homes’ Colorado division. During his real estate career, Willis has also been actively involved in entitlements, water issues and metro district formation and funding. He is also the 2006 chairperson of the DIA Partnership.

The HBA is a trade association representing more than 1,200 businesses involved in the residential development, construction and remodeling industry in the eight-county Denver metro region. Members of the HBA include home builders, land developers and remodelors, as well as trade partners including architects, mortgage lenders, building material suppliers and sub-contractors.
