A local builder from Longmont, Richfield Homes, LLC., will donate $100,218 to Habitat for Humanity of Colorado.
Over the past year, Richfield Homes and their trade partners worked diligently and collaboratively to plan, build, sell, and close one of their homes whose proceeds will go to Habitat for Humanity of Colorado. Habitat for Humanity will be in attendance on April 3, 2017 at 10 am at the Richfield Homes Prairie Star community in Berthoud, CO to receive the donation from the Richfield Homes co-founders, William Edgington and Serge Goldberg.
“Every house is a building block for strength, stability and self-reliance for families and communities,” said Stefka Fanchi, Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity of Colorado. “We are grateful to Richfield Homes for their partnership and generosity in building a better Colorado.”
Richfield Homes employees are passionate about building homes and providing their buyers with a quality product. They wanted to give back to an organization that elucidates community spirit and a passion for home building.
Edgington said, “We support Habitat for Humanity because we share the same joy of seeing what an impact home ownership has for families. Habitat for Humanity builds homes with volunteers alongside the eventual homeowners who are required to put in their own sweat equity. This makes homeownership available to families who would not be able to afford a home through conventional financing.”

It’s no secret people are moving to Denver in masses and new homes are popping up everywhere. New Chamber member Bello Custom Homes is adding to the growing diverse home landscape in the Denver area. Bello Custom Homes has done business in the Bonnie Brae area, Hilltop, Crest-moor, Park Hill and Cory Merrill neighborhoods. The company chose Glendale as home-base because of the proximity to the neighborhoods they work in, the Home Depot and restaurants in City Set. “It’s a very convenient location, clients really like it here, and it’s just a good spot. We’re happy here,” Dan Hambrick said.
While Bello Custom Homes has not done any work in Glendale, Hambrick said he sees some great potential in the city. Don’t worry — Bello Custom Homes won’t build a behemoth modern home in the traditionally styled Glendale neighborhoods. The company prides itself on matching the architectural style of the surrounding homes. “We respect the neighborhood. So if we came into an area, and there were traditional type homes, then our architect would draw up a plan that would match the neighborhood. We’re not just a modern company, so we wouldn’t come into a traditional neighborhood and put a modern home and cause problems,” Hambrick said.
Here is the rest of our story.
