Home Builders Foundation

Founded in 1993, the Home Builders Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the Home Builders Association of Metro Denver.  Guided by a Board of Directors, the mission of the Foundation is to provide accessibility solutions and home modifications for individuals with disabilities and financial need through the collaborated efforts of the building industry.

What does that mean?  It means that we will build a wheelchair ramp for a mom with Multiple Sclerosis, open doorways and modify a kitchen for a dad after an accident left him in a wheelchair, or install a lift for a son or daughter with Muscular Dystrophy so they can access the bathroom.  The Foundation changes lives by making homes livable for families with disabilities.  Visit our Projects page for examples of how the Foundation as provided accessibiltiy solutions over the years.

The Foundation is supported by monetary and materials contributions as well as monies raised through Special Events throughout the year.  The Foundation also is the greatful benefaciary of countless volunteer hours contributed by members of the home building industry.

How can you help?  The Foundation is in constant need of financial contributions, donations of time from skilled craftsmen, and donations of materials like lumber, drywall, tile, doors, concrete and paint – just to name a few examples.  And certainly we welcome and encourage you to participate in any of our Special Events.

How do those in need apply for assistance?  If you are in need of home modifications to provide accessibility solutions for yourself or a family member, please print the application for assistance.  After completing the application, fax or mail back to the HBF.
