HBA of Metro Denver welcomes Richelle McMurtry as new Government Affairs Manager

The Home Builders Association of Metro Denver (HBA), has announced the appointment of Richelle McMurtry, who will serve as Government Affairs Manager.

McMurtry will serve as a technical and regulatory liaison for local municipalities and community business partners and will work on advocacy measures to support a responsible and affordable home-building economy.
Chérie Talbert, Senior Vice President of the HBA, said, “I am thrilled to have Richelle join our team of dedicated professionals. Richelle’s experience with municipalities, agencies and public entities, provides our team with the support, knowledge and expertise we need for complex projects. Richelle’s passion to collaborate and grow new relationships in the industry will be a great fit with our culture.” 
A University of Phoenix graduate, McMurtry brings a wealth of experience from the oil and gas industry. As an Analyst in the Planning group at Noble Energy, she developed, maintained and communicated sustainability analytics about the economic, environmental and social impacts of operations for long-term planning. Additionally, she collaborated with regulatory agencies, and various external and internal stakeholders for operational planning and execution.
Prior to joining Noble Energy, McMurtry was with Anadarko Petroleum. She was field tour director for foreign dignitaries, investors, and elected officials.
Talbert added that McMurtry’s planning and development management experience, along with her knowledge of corporate messaging and communications, will enhance HBA’s Government Affairs Program.
