Credentials

  • Has earned bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or public policy
  • Has a minimum 5 years of experience in a membership development or retention position, or has 5 years of continued advancement in a corporate administrative service environment
  • Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Is dynamic and comfortable with building new relationships
  • Exercises focused listening skills and associated ability to address members’ needs within the framework of an organization
  • Demonstrates a strong capability to utilize technology to interface with fellow staff and membership
  • Experience in the Metro Denver homebuilding industry

Job Description

  • Reports to HBA Chief Executive Officer in focused service to growing 585 member company organization
  • Researches and understands the HBA staff positions and responsibilities  
  • Dedicates herself/himself to building and maintaining positive and collaborative relationships with HBA staff members to focus on and increase service level to members
  • Educates herself/himself about the HBA’s mission within the Home Building industry  
  • Understands the roles of the Boards and Councils within the HBA to better serve member inquiries and to promote the HBA to existing and prospective members
  • Acts as point of contact for specific member inquiries to direct or connect members to the proper staff resource to serve the members’ needs.  Monitors or follows up with members to ensure that HBA service and response were satisfactory  
  • Understands or learns what companies benefit from the HBA mission to strategize to obtain new sustainable members
