Join the HBA

The HBA is a network of businesses that protect and promote their interests and the concerns of its member companies.  Members include builders, remodelers, developers, suppliers, subcontractors, bankers, mortgage consultants, architects, engineers and the many other supporting organizations and businesses affiliated with the housing industry.  By becoming a part of this network members strengthen both the industry and their own business interests.

Builder, remodeler and developer members are categorized as Builder members.  Suppliers, subcontractors, bankers, mortgage consultants, architects, engineers and the many other supporting organizations and businesses affiliated with the housing industry are categorized as Associate members.  Dues for Builder members and Associate members are the same.  Dues are $795 annually with a one-time joining fee of $50

Builder members also pay permit assessments, which are based on the value of the homes for which the member pulls building permits within the HBA’s 8-County territory.  These assessments are on the first 200 homes permitted in a calendar year at a sliding scale rate determined by the valuation of the home permitted.   The HBA gathers information regarding permits and valuation directly from building departments and automatically invoices builder members for those assessments. 

Membership is for the joining company and provides opportunities for all the member’s employees to become involved and take advantage of member benefits.  Individual memberships are not available.

Upon joining, the Member’s request for membership is reviewed by the HBA Board of Directors for approval.  Upon approval, the member’s information is transmitted to the National Association of Home Builders and the Colorado Association of Home Builders, activating all three memberships. 

Membership is on an annual basis with annual renewal dues automatically billed on the anniversary of the member’s join date. The HBA also offers a payment plan for dues.  For information about the payment plan, contact Toby Paioff.
