Founded in 1993, the Home Builders Foundation is the charity of choice of the Home Builders Association of Metro Denver. Guided by a Board of Directors, the mission of the HBF is to provide accessibility solutions and home modifications for individuals with disabilities and financial need through the collaborated efforts of the building industry.
Home Builders Foundation changes lives by providing home modifications which help individuals access their home and community, regain independence and improve their quality of life. The HBF’s program is for home owners exhibiting a financial need in the 8-county (Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Broomfield, Denver, Douglas, Elbert and Jefferson) Denver metro area that are in need of home modifications related to accessibility. HBF projects range from small modifications to major improvements including bathroom remodels, kitchen modifications and ramps. Click here to view some of our projects!
The HBF relies on a committed network of volunteers and suppliers, most of who are affiliated with the home building industry, to complete the work so there is no cost to the recipient. Many of these volunteers and suppliers donate time and materials; in turn, the HBF is able to leverage the funding used towards a project to be nearly ten times the retail value of the project!
