The HBA of Metro Denver has two membership categories: Builder and Associate:
Builder memberships cost $963 per year. Throughout the year, Builder Members pay additional permit assessments, based on the assessed value of each permit pulled within the HBA’s region. Here’s how that works:
- Each Builder Member's building permits are assessed on the following sliding scale rate:
For the first 300 building permits pulled per year, if the assessed value of the home is:
|$0 - $500,000||$185.00 per permit|
|$500,001 - $1,000,000||$205.00 per permit|
|$1,000,000 and above||$335.00 per permit|
- The HBA invoices Builder Members for those assessments.
- Each Builder's permit assessments are capped at 300 homes.
Associate memberships cost $1,063 per year.
Who’s the Member?
Membership is for the joining company and provides opportunities for all employees to become involved and take advantage of Member benefits.
How does the process work?
Your request for membership is reviewed by the HBA’s Board of Directors. When your company has been approved, the information is shared with the Colorado Association of Home Builders and the National Association of Home Builders, which activates all three memberships.
There is a one-time-only application fee of $50 for all new members. Effective January 1, 2019, annual membership for Associate members is $1,063 per year. Annual Builder membership is $963 plus monthly permit assessments. Your renewal is on the anniversary of the date you joined.
