Colorado home builder, with new buy, says it’s now in U.S. top 10
A Colorado home builder said that with its latest acquisition on Thursday, said it’s now one of the nation’s top 10 largest home builders.
Century Communities Inc. (NYSE: CCS) of Greenwood Village said it acquired the remaining 50 percent of Wade Jurney Homes of Greensboro, North Carolina.
The acquisition (terms weren’t disclosed) puts Century in the nation’s top 10 for builders, the company said, and it now has operations in 12 states.
Wade Jurney Homes specializes in building affordable homes in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, North Carolina and South Carolina, with sales prices averaging $150,000.
“This transaction establishes Century as a top-10 U.S. homebuilder and represents another milestone for our company,” said Dale Francescon, Century co-CEO, in a statement.
According to Century, it is the fastest-growing public home builder in the country and Wade Jurney Homes is the fastest-growing private home builder.
